7 Hour SAFE Core: Mortgage Loan Originator Course
This online self-study course contains seven hours of annual continuing education core topics required of individuals maintaining a state-issued mortgage loan originator (MLO) license. Within this course, students will spend time reviewing required topics, including:
- Three hours on federal mortgage-related laws
- Two hours on ethics, fraud, and consumer protection
- Two hours on lending standards related to non-traditional mortgage products

An MLO who has completed their pre-licensure education (PE) course requirements in the same year in which the license was approved, is not required to complete CE.
Course Duplication:
A licensee may not take the same CE course two years in a row.
